Oka Foods aims to "pursue happiness in both material and spiritual aspects"

Due to the impact of COVID-19, this year has seen significant changes in working styles and activities. As we enter our 47th term, we held a "policy review meeting," and we would like to share with you, albeit in part, our vision for the 47th term.


─Oka Foods' goal (the ultimate goal each individual seeks) = the pursuit of happiness both materially and spiritually

"Is the mountain you want to climb the same as the mountain Okafoods is aiming for?"

This is something I always ask everyone at every policy review meeting.

We believe that by striving for the summit step by step with others who truly want to climb the same mountain, and by sharing their happiness, we can move closer to both material and spiritual happiness. Climbing the mountain without empathy will cause unhappiness and inconvenience to both the company and the employees. Okafoods wants to reach the summit together with "people who can climb the mountain on their own two feet" and "people who want to carve out the mountain together." We want people to stop pretending to climb or empathize and instead focus on making the right effort. The company provides the environment and space, and also provides support. Employees will make full use of this environment and space, and we aim for the 47th term to be one in which all employees "learn and grow."

─The theme is learning and growth

The same theme was set for the 45th term, but based on reflections from the previous term, the theme for this term has been set as "Learning and Growth."

In the 45th term, learning was optional and remained merely academic rather than learning. This term, our goal is for all employees to view learning as something they "must do" rather than something optional, to understand the difference between learning and academic, and to assume that learning will be put into practice.

Learning through work (which involves practical experience at Oka Foods) leads to growth. Learning and growth then leads to being useful and contributing. I hope to approach "learning and growth" with the awareness that this will lead to the recognition and support of those around me.

-High performance, high employee contribution, and high compensation

In the four years leading up to 2025, Oka Foods aims to become the most attractive fabless food company in Japan.

To achieve this, we need to evolve at an accelerated pace. By matching our contributions with our strategies, we hope to bring the three highs of high performance, high contribution, and high compensation closer to reality. High productivity and high contribution are the foundations that lead to high performance and high compensation. In order to achieve this, the story will also be extremely important.

By continuing to learn and grow and improve our practice of value creation in line with our story, we will be able to be of service to all our stakeholders. Furthermore, a story cannot be told by one person. The more colleagues (characters) who share the same empathy, the stronger the story will be. Oka Foods as a whole will focus on working face-to-face with our collaborative partners to create a story.


─Becoming an adult professional

In order to achieve the three "highs" mentioned above and to aim to be the most attractive food manufacturer in Japan, all employees must become "adult professionals."

"Adult" refers to someone who can empathize with the mindset and story, while "professional" refers to ability.

To become a professional, learning and growth are essential.

I hope that you will acquire the equipment you need to climb the mountain, based on this season's theme of "Learning and Growth."

No more pretending to empathize.

The self-satisfied happiness of those who sympathize but want to remain amateurs (not learn) is also coming to an end.

Okafoods aims to be a group where all members are "adult professionals"!

I expect Oka Foods employees to work hard with a moderate sense of tension and an overwhelming sense of responsibility, and to break through together through learning and growth.
