As part of our efforts to improve our environment, Oka Foods has begun cultivating bitter melon in a corner of the office. One of our team members had experience growing bitter melon in his previous job, so he is the main member of staff who watches over the plants as they grow.
Why did Oka Foods start growing bitter melon?

Then, in mid-May, we started selecting seedlings.

Mikey and Ryota are being looked after by our employees who come to work every day to help with environmental maintenance!
The bitter melon harvest will likely begin around August.
We will do our best to harvest as much fruit as possible and deliver it to all our stakeholders!

In addition, we are planning various internal projects as part of our internal branding through bitter melon cultivation.
■ Conducting a fun survey that takes just one minute within the company Do you like bitter melon? Do you dislike it? What do you like about it? , etc. We asked a variety of questions about bitter melon.
The survey results will be released at a later date!
■Let's eat the bitter melon we harvested with our families! (When we have a lot of bitter melon harvested...) We are thinking of distributing bitter melon to our employees and having them eat it at the dinner table with their families. When we do, we also plan to distribute "Mikey's Recommended Ultimate Bitter Melon Recipe" to them.
We also hope to hold a variety of other events to help our employees and stakeholders become fans of Oka Foods!
