Today's contents: Ryota's business trip to Vietnam

I had the opportunity to undergo training for two days at the Quang Hieu factory in Vietnam.

I was inspired and impressed by many things, and I came away with many new realizations.

I would like to write about what I was like and what I felt during my business trip.

I boarded the plane in high spirits, and after about 12 hours of travel (including transit), I arrived in Da Nang, Vietnam, feeling excited and thrilled.


I was excited to absorb everything I was about to experience and take it home with me.

Environmental Improvement

First, we improved the environment at the factory.

Environmental improvement is not just a cleaning activity, but a part of Oka Foods and Quan Hieu's culture.

To improve my environment, I spent two days polishing my desk.

By carefully polishing every corner, you will also polish your heart.

By polishing mindlessly, you will notice even the smallest stains that you would not normally notice.

There seems to be no end to polishing even one desk.

Interview with President Quan

We had the opportunity to speak with President Quan.

From talking with President Quan, I learned a lot about the relationship with Oka Foods and the strong trust that exists between them.

President Quan,

"Our relationship with Oka Foods is not just a business relationship. It's family."

I felt these words firsthand and was so moved that I was shaking.

“Xin chao!” (Greeting) All the staff members passing by will greet you.

I was deeply moved. I was greeted with such warmth and was treated like family. Even though it was my first visit, it felt like I had been there many times before. For some reason, greeting everyone at Quan Heu felt very nostalgic, and I almost found myself saying "I'm home." I realized that this is not something that should be taken for granted, but something that can only be felt because of the relationship between Oka Foods and Quan Hieu. I was shocked to see how companies from countries with different languages ​​across the ocean were able to build relationships that would be difficult even between Japanese people, and I vowed to work towards building such relationships myself.

Factory work experience

I had the opportunity to experience some of the work being done by the Quan Heu staff.

We experienced the processes of removing the scales, filleting the fish, and removing the bones.


The staff made it look like it was an easy task, but in reality it was extremely difficult, and it made me feel grateful for the staff's skills and constant efforts.

I strongly wanted more stakeholders to know how amazing the staff are who carry out this process, and how the value of our products is only possible because of them.

Interaction with staff

We presented a box of Japanese sweets to all the staff as a token of our appreciation.

I was only able to say the newly learned phrase "Cảm ơn (thank you)" in Japanese, but I was able to actively express my gratitude to each person as I handed out souvenirs to them.

Everyone looked so happy, and I realized an important thing: even if we don't speak the same language, we can still understand each other's feelings.

Takei-san's birthday

The last day of the business trip was Takei's birthday, so we celebrated with all the Vietnamese staff.

Takei-san was loved by all the staff, and I was so moved by the wonderful, family-like relationship that I was on the verge of tears many times.

After work, I went to a nearby restaurant with the office staff for a birthday party.

The venue was filled with excitement as everyone celebrated Takei, and I enjoyed Takei's birthday party with all the staff and karaoke and dancing.

Finally, it's time to say goodbye...

In the middle of the party, my flight time was approaching.

I don't want to say goodbye to everyone yet, and I'm overwhelmed with loneliness.

As I gathered my belongings and stood up, the karaoke stopped and everyone came to see me off.

At that time, instead of saying "Bye," he said "See you later," and I couldn't stop crying.

I couldn't hold back my tears at the warmth of everyone who welcomed me like family and said goodbye.

I vowed to myself that I would definitely visit Quan Heu again and that I would continue to grow so that I could be of service to the people of Quan Heu and repay their kindness.

I realized the high level of engagement between Oka Foods and the Quan Heu factory.

I was impressed by the trust and family-like relationship between President Oka, Mr. Takei, and President Quan and staff Quan Heu.

I was very happy that they accepted me like family, and I wanted to do something to help Mr. Quan Hieu.

Of course, we value the Oka Foods products that Quan Hieu produces, but we also want to help our stakeholders and users learn more about the Quan Hieu factory and become fans of the factory.

We will communicate the value so that customers will choose our products not just because they are expensive or cheap, but because they are made by Oka Foods and the Quan Heu Factory.
