Sukemune Cod Fish and Chips
Ingredients (for 1 person)
- Plus Sukemune cod (bone removed) 60g 1 piece
- 1/2 egg
- 40g flour
- 30ml beer
- 50g potatoes
- 300ml salad oil (frying oil)
- 30g beef fat
- [Side dish]
- lemon
- parsley
Cooking in a frying pan
- 1 Beat the eggs, add flour and beer, mix, and dip the frozen Suemoto cod in the batter to coat it.
- 2 Wash the potatoes, drain and cut into wedges.
- 3 Add beef fat to salad oil heated to 180°C and fry (1) for 5 to 6 minutes and (2) for 2 to 3 minutes.
- 4. Garnish with lemon and parsley, and add salt, ketchup, or vinegar to taste.
POINTApplication tips
- 1. Adding beef fat adds flavor and richness. If you can't get beef fat, fry in salad oil only.
