Grilled saury
Ingredients (for 1 person)
- Plus Pacific saury (bone removed) 60g/1 fish
- Appropriate amount of flour
- 18ml soy sauce
- 27ml mirin
- 15ml water
- 15ml salad oil
Cooking in a frying pan
- 1. Coat the frozen saury in flour and fry in hot salad oil.
- 2. Heat soy sauce, mirin, and water in a frying pan, add (1), and simmer.
- Place on three plates and garnish with Japanese pepper.
POINTApplication tips
- 1. You can also use more sauce and place it on top of rice to make a rice bowl. If you wrap kabayaki in egg and bake it, it becomes an elaborate dish similar to umaki.
